I am a pragmatist, guided by the practical considerations that most benefit my clients.

Twenty-five years as a university technician has trained me to do things once the right way. Continually following one’s own pianos proves what works. It is not easy to modify your practice this way, but constant self-evaluation strengthens one’s ability to approach a wide variety of problems with reliable and long-lasting solutions. I love helping more beautiful music to be possible in the world and would love to start with your world.

My starting point is the least we can do is nothing. I have nothing to sell you but greater enjoyment and expanded experience in your music making whatever it is. I serve my clients first, always keeping their needs, expectations and budgets first and foremost. I am not concerned with being right, but with correct outcomes.

A great man, Newton Minow, the first chair of the FCC, said “It’s amazing how much you can get done if you don’t have to take credit for it.” I don’t do what I do for accolades or praise, but to fulfill my obligation to provide the best service to my clients. I respect and honor the makers of the fine pianos on which I am privileged to work.

in which there are many possibilities, as opposed to the expert’s mind, where there are few. This frees me to seek more options to determine what will be best for each project. Each piano and client are different. This flexibility allows me to provide the best outcome instead of applying cookie cutter solutions. All of my work is custom work.
